RED faces over Phil Hughes' now famous tweet has hardly put Cricket Australia off social networking sites.
CA's general manager of cricket, Michael Brown, on Monday ruled out following England's lead and banning players from using Twitter and Facebook.
England team management reportedly see the sites as potentially divisive for their upcoming Down Under Ashes tour.
While Hughes caused a stir when he revealed on Twitter during the last Ashes series that he had been dropped hours before the third Test, Brown said he had no problem with players using the sites.
"I was just listening to Michael Clarke who has 42,000 people listening to his tweets," Brown said.
"We want young people to be associated with the game."
Australian captain Ricky Ponting thought the sites were a good way for the public to get to know players "behind the helmet".
"It is your job as international players to promote the game and be the best you can for the game," Ponting said.
