Bollinger a concealed weapon for Ashes

Fast bowler Doug Bollinger will surprise plenty of Englishmen this Australian summer - simply by showing he can actually bowl a bit.

Bollinger's record in England, both in county cricket, Tests and one-dayers, is remarkably ordinary.

"I have to be honest, I think England is the hardest place I've had to bowl," Bollinger said in Kochi before the first limited-overs match against India on Sunday.

"A lot of people say India but I actually like bowling here, for some silly reason.

There has been little doubt where Bollinger's mind has been for most of this tour, for the prospect of a first Ashes series fires his imagination like little else.

"Yes, that absolutely crossed my mind (to keep bowling) but I got the expert advice and I've got to think longterm as well," said Bollinger.
