No retirement plans for Mike Hussey

Australian Test batsman Mike Hussey, the man dubbed 'Mr Cricket' for his love of the game, has no plans to retire anytime soon, declaring his passion is as strong as ever.

Hussey's place in Australia's Test side has come under increasing pressure in recent years, with his return of just two centuries since the start of 2009 fuelling talk the 35-year-old should be phased out of the team.

"It does give you a bit of inspiration ... and I've got a lot of inspiration from a lot of guys," Hussey said on Wednesday.
"Steve Waugh played quite late into his 30s, Matthew Hayden played very well, Justin Langer played very well into his late 30s, so I don't think age is a barrier whatsoever.

"You're a long time retired.

"I'm still enjoying it and I love pulling on that baggy dream cap, it's a dream come true.

Hussey will make a rare appearance for Western Australia in their Sheffield Shield clash with South Australia, starting Friday at Adelaide Oval, and the November 17-20 match against Victoria in Melbourne.

"So to get as much four-day cricket under the belt is important before the Test matches (against England) start.
