Rodney William Marsh, the robust former Australia wicketkeeper, took an Ashes-record 28 dismissals in his side's remarkable home series victory over England in the 1982-1983 summer.

"The man dubbed 'Iron Gloves' was to retire with 148 Ashes dismissals – the most by a wicketkeeper - and is still widely regarded as one of the finest gloveman to play the game."

Australia won the Test by eight wickets, while Marsh finished with eight catches and Lawson was named man of the match.

Ironically, after a poor Test debut, Marsh was to retire with 148 Ashes dismissals – the most by a wicketkeeper - and 355 in all Tests, and is still regarded as one of the finest gloveman to play the game.
