Christian's all-round heroics deliver Redbacks win
South Australia 5 for 199 (Christian 86, Klinger 78*) beat Victoria 198 (Hussey 45, Christian 6-48, Edmondson 4-49) by 5 wickets
A magnificent all-round performance from Dan Christian has guided South Australia to a five-wicket win in their Ryobi Cup match against Victoria at Skilled Stadium in Geelong.
After snaring 6-48 - the equal eighth-best all-time figures in domestic one-day cricket - to help dismiss the Vics for 198, Christian smashed 86 from 78 deliveries to help get the Redbacks over the line with 19 balls to spare.
The Redbacks were just three from victory when the 27-year-old holed out going for the winning runs.
Christian plundered 12 fours and a six and Klinger eight boundaries.
Only seven points now separate the top five teams on the Ryobi Cup table.
The Tigers lead on 21 points from seven matches, one clear of the Blues with the Bushrangers in third place on 17 from five outings.
The Redbacks remain in fifth place on 14 points.
