Tasmania 1 for 146 (Cosgrove 90*, Doolan 48*) lead Western Australia 108 (Faulkner 3-15, Butterworth 3-33) by 38 runs
Tasmania are in a commanding position at stumps on day one of their Sheffield Shield encounter against Western Australia at Bellerive Oval.
The hosts bowled out the Warriors for a measly 108 inside 32 overs after Tasmania won the toss and elected to bowl, and put on a dominant 1-146 in reply.
The in-form Mark Cosgrove had slashed an unbeaten 90 when rain halted play late in the day.
Spinner Michael Beer's week has certainly been a turbulent one, starting as an Ashes hopeful, but he is now heading into the weekend without a wicket from his eight overs for his state which went for 27 runs.

Victoria looked set to mow down South Australia's skittled total of 168 after the tea break.
White remains unbeaten on 38 while Finch is also not out on 25 heading into day two.
SA collapsed earlier in the day with Victoria paceman Andrew McDonald taking 3-1 in his 3.3 overs with the ball in his first match since a broken hand, before he left the field with a suspected injury to his hand.
McDonald removed SA skipper Michael Klinger for two and Callum Ferguson for a duck, before dismissing Aiden Blizzard for just a single as SA coughed up 4-6 from 25 balls.
