Player of the match LM Davis (Western Australia)
Liam Davis made 108 and shared a 176-run partnership for the third wicket with captain Marcus North to help Western Australia climb off the bottom of the Ryobi Cup table with a seven-wicket win over Victoria at the MCG.

Second-placed Victoria had relied on a late flurry to reach a total of 8-236 including Matthew Wade's 101 not out.

Davis reached his second one-day hundred in the 39th over.

The 26-year-old right-hander hit nine fours and three sixes in his 125-ball knock.

Warriors paceman Michael Hogan claimed his first five-wicket haul, finishing with 5-44 from 12 overs.

Wade reached his maiden century by pulling Hogan for six in the 45th and final over.

Bushrangers veteran Brad Hodge, who had scored unbeaten centuries in his first two one-day games this season, pushed a single from the first ball he faced on Saturday to become the first player in Australian one-day domestic history to reach 5,000 runs.

In a memorable first wicket for 18-year-old debutant quick Matt Dixon, Hodge was caught at third man for 12.
