Nick Ross uses the Cricket Coach Plus App to help James Plunkett.
A MELBOURNE computer academic's solution to his son's cricket-coaching needs has led to a revolutionary smartphone application.
The Cricket Coach Plus App is as convenient to shoot vision of a stroke, or a delivery, and then replay on a split screen as it is affordable - just $3.99.
The split screen replay on an iPhone.
The product was launched two weeks ago by developer Mark Ross, whose son Nick is a batsman for Carlton firsts in Premier Cricket.
The quality generated from just an in-situ lens was convincing.
Ross said he was importing a mini-telephoto lens to assist parents ''to stand away from their children when they are driving, so as not to get hit''.
Three county recruits exploded on to Premier Cricket yesterday.
Alex Hales made 134 off 77 balls at the Junction Oval yesterday to help Dandenong to a 100-run win against North Melbourne, which is sharing the St Kilda ground for the next two seasons.
''It was a good wicket and once you had played yourself in you could fill your boots (cash-in),'' Hales said.
