Pup welcomes non-stop cricket

Australia's busiest player Michael Clarke is relishing the opportunity to cram his diary full with a non-stop schedule of cricket across all three forms of the game this summer.

The Australian vice captain has put his hand up to play all five Ashes matches, 10 one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches in a crowded three-month period, culminating in the 2011 World Cup in February-March.

He will also squeeze in two Sheffield Shield matches for NSW next month in preparation for the first Test against England in Brisbane, starting November 25.

"I think my body is in a pretty good place at the moment. I feel as fit as I've been in my career."

He will play for NSW against Victoria (November 10-13) and Tasmania (November 17-20) in the hope of scoring heavily after a lean trot with the bat in India.

THERE are no plans to ease the workload on Australia's Twenty20 captain Michael Clarke despite the prospect of him playing 44 days of cricket this summer.

"Not playing all three ODIs in India [because of the wet] gives the body more of a rest, but I feel really good. I feel as fit as I've been in my career," Clarke said.

"Ricky, as a player and leader, is as good as Australia has had. His statistics certainly show that," Clarke said.
