Hodge has started his summer with back-to-back unbeaten one-day centuries, creating the traditional groundswell of support for him to return to Australia's limited-overs side.
But Hodge will be holidaying in Queensland when the Aussies start their one-day series against Sri Lanka at the MCG on November 3 and doesn't expect to have to cancel his trip.
"It would be nice to be able to fit into the right people's minds," Hodge said. "I know there are a lot of Victorians that get behind me and support me 100%. That's lovely, it's all good and well and it's fascinating that there are these Twitter sites and all this backing.
Victorian assistant coach Simon Helmot said Siddle, who recently returned from a back injury, would be eased back so he was in prime condition for Ashes selection, which will be announced on November 15..
"We're looking at all his bowling loads and games coming up to give him the best chance of playing in the first Test of the Ashes,"
