The Bushrangers have been bolstered by the return of four senior players - David Hussey, Clint McKay, Dirk Nannes and skipper Cameron White - for their Ryobi Cup match against the Bulls.
The quartet missed Victoria's most recent domestic one-day clash against Tasmania at home late last month while on national Twenty20 duty in Perth.
They've replaced Darren Pattinson, Glenn Maxwell, Jon Holland and the injured Andrew McDonald in Victoria's 13-man squad for Wednesday's day-night encounter at the MCG.
White, who's coming off a century for Australia A against England in Hobart, dismissed suggestions the Vics are on the slide after suffering successive Shield defeats for the first time in 15 years.
"There's a bit of transition in our team and we were coming up against a couple of good sides," said White.
White said the Bushrangers, who sit second on the Ryobi Cup table on 11 points, are desperate to bridge the 10-point gap between themselves and the competition leaders, Tasmania.
Meanwhile the Bulls have recalled pacemen Ryan Harris and Ben Cutting to their 13-man squad and are likely to give a start to 20-year-old all-rounder Michael Neser.
Ryan Broad and Lee Carseldine have been dropped and Chris Simpson ruled out with a side strain.
A right-handed batsman and right-arm pace bowler, Neser is in his first season as a Bulls rookie-contracted player.
Bushrangers Ryobi Cup squad: Aaron Finch, Matthew Wade, Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Cameron White, Michael Hill, Rob Quiney, Will Sheridan, Mark Cleary, Clint McKay, Shane Harwood, Dirk Nannes, James Pattinson (12 to play, one to be omitted)
