Faulkner takes 5-5 as SA falls for 55 ALL OUT third-lowest Sheffield Shield total of all time

Tasmania v South Australia, Sheffield Shield, Hobart, 2nd day

South Australia 55 (Faulkner 5-5, Maher 3-10) and 3 for 91 trail Tasmania 251 by 105 runs

YOUNG Tasmanian quick James Faulkner says he still has improving to do after cutting through the South Australia batting order in the Sheffield Shield match at Bellerive Oval yesterday.

The 20-year-old took a remarkable 5-5 as the Redbacks were humbled for just 55 runs before lunch on the second day, their third lowest total in Shield history and the second lowest first-class score at the venue.

Faulkner, playing his eighth first-class match, finished with a remarkable 5 for 5

Doug Bollinger will return to the NSW side to face Western Australia in today's Sheffield Shield match in Perth after missing the Blues' one-day win at the WACA Ground on Friday. Bollinger was named 12th man for the Australian team in the first Ashes Test but selectors opted for Peter Siddle, who went on to claim a hat-trick and take 6-54 on Thursday.

The left-armer only arrived in Perth late on Thursday night and was subsequently ruled out of NSW's seven-run win.
