Challenge Southern Redbacks, KFC Twenty20 Big Bash star Callum Ferguson in Fantasy Big Bash

There is plenty on the line for Callum Ferguson when the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash gets underway on December 30.

“I’m going with the Action Man,” Callum said when quizzed on who would be captaining the Dashers.

“Dan Christian … we’ve nicknamed him the Action Man because you can’t keep him out of it.

“He does it all; he bowls, he bats, he fields.

“He'll start to field in the slips at the start of the innings, and there'll obviously be a few catching opportunities for him.

“Then we'll be expecting a few wickets from him later in the innings.

“With the bat, he could be anywhere in the top six with the Redbacks - which means he is going to be right in the game.”

So Christian represents a true triple-threat, his South Australia teammate says, and who are we to argue.

“I think Shaun Marsh is going to be a big one,” he said.

“He's going to be a key player who bats at the top of the order for Western Australia, and I'm expecting big things.

“He's a good mate of mine, who I spent some time with at the academy.

“He's got some serious form in Twenty20, having been the player of the series in one of the Indian Premier League tournaments.”

Callum Ferguson will get his first chance to impress for the Redbacks and the Dashers when South Australia play New South Wales on January 4 at Adelaide Oval.

Western Australia play Tasmania in the tournament opener on December 30 at the WACA Ground, with the deadline to make your final Fantasy selections set down for 8.15pm (EDT) on Thursday.
